All of them were built in the 30-50s of the last century. Those structures that were built for the leadership of different enterprises and the party elite, departments, and so on, differed in quite high comfort, having many advantages before simple structures of that time. They, as many know, were built in the central urban areas, had a height within five floors. These structures to this day for the most part belong to the category of elite real estate, which is quite expensive, prestigious, solid and even status, which meets all the requirements of comfort. With all this in the same years, houses were built for a simple working class, in the sleeping areas that were removed from the administrative city part. The buildings of the “Stalin” construction of this class, for the most part, were built on two floors, with one entrance, also with relatively high floors and an excellent layout. If we compare such apartments with housing, which is offered in new buildings, then they will correspond to the category of economy class, but will be inferior to business class real estate and higher in prestige and comfort. After the forties, the Stalinks of this type were built using cheaper building materials, such as a cinder block. In this regard, such an advantage of buildings as noise – and thermal insulation simply lost their relevance. In general, the residential area of real estate in the ordinary “Stalinks” is more modest than their kirpich relatives, and the architecture is somewhat poorer, without the original decor and excesses. Nevertheless, there are “Stalinist” houses that some time ago represented dormitories for the working class. Apartments in such buildings are distinguished by one room for the family, here a combined bathroom, which simply does not meet the modern requirements of comfort. And since the quality of these structures is far from the concept of “normal housing”, at the moment they are gradually prepared for demolition and new, more convenient houses will be built in their place. So, if we compare new houses and houses of “Stalin” buildings, then an unambiguous answer to the question: which is better, it is impossible to provide. Both are different, better or worse, with different layout and individual characteristics, differing in building materials and the convenience of location.
