Drywall is glued when aligning walls with a large number of irregularities and potholes, but without critical changes. This alignment method does not require the creation of a crate, saves money and time to perform work. The absence of the frame allows you to maintain the area of the room unchanged.
It is recommended to use adhesive compounds when working with drywall at a plus temperature of at least 5 ° C, which makes it impossible to use this method in winter. Sheets are glued to a dry and clean surface, the remains of the old coating are completely removed. The protruding parts are knocked down or cleaned with a grinding tool. Before gluing sheets, the base surface is treated with a primer.
Technical holes in the sheets of drywall are placed and cut out first, before gluing. Marking for fastening sheets is applied directly to the wall.
For fastening drywall sheets, putty with PVA is used, but high reliability of the mount will provide special glue. The dry adhesive composition is stirred until a uniform state, the consistency is regulated by adding water. It is not recommended to include in a mixture of additives that can change the properties of glue.
