Features and advantages of silicate brick

Silicate brick is made from a mixture of water, quartz sand and air lime. A brick made from this solution is autoclave processing, that is, hardened with water steam under high temperatures and pressure. The result of such processing is the formation of artificial stone. This production technology, however, endows silicate brick of a lot of advantages. This is primarily moisture absorption, frost resistance and sound insulation of silicate bricks.

Moisture absorption is, of course, the main criterion for the quality indicator of this type of brick. It is achieved by the optimal composition of the mixture, the size of the shape of the brick and due to the absence of violations in production technology.

Frost resistance, and more specifically, resistance to temperature difference, allows you to increase the life of silicate bricks in an aggressive external environment, where other building materials show their helplessness. An important detail is the good sound insulation of silicate brick, especially compared to its ceramic analogue. Thanks to their high soundproofing abilities, builders prefer this type of brick for laying interior and inter -apartment walls.
